Hello in Jesus Name;

Now you and I know that God works through the hearts of man! You may not have heard that my Christian Brother & Sister DQ & Beth Roberts, have given me DQ’s 1994 Harley Davidson Soft-Tail Classic. My wife Brenda and I believe this door was opened for us to continue extend Christ love to a hurting and dying world.

Each year in March and November a motorcycle non-profit organization called the; Concerned Bikers Association, holds a Swap meet and Bike show in Charlotte, NC. At this event vendors show and sell all kind of stuff that attracts bikers and many owners come to show off their bikes.  Bikers are not any different than you and I, they also have families and this also includes children.

I attended this last weekend’s Bike Show and Swap Meet and helped with my brother’s ministry, Christian Riders Ministry, an adult ministry out of South Dakota. I took time to walk around and talk with many of the parents and children attending this year’s November event. Our conversation were if there was a place for the children to bounce in a bounce house, get airbrushed Jesus tattoos, watch Christian puppet shows for a time, while the parents shopped, would they allow their children to participate in such an activity and yes was a regular answer.  

Here lays our problem in sharing the love of Jesus with these children. This Bike Show & Swap Meet is in Charlotte, NC. I have to travel from Burlington, NC to Charlotte, NC about 180-200 miles and stay in a motel, 2 nights apx. $125.00. We have a trailer, 3 - 10 x 10’s tents, a sound system, some puppets and an old worn out airbrush kit which works. But we are short a Bounce House and are looking into this now. There is also a rental fee to set up at the event about $225.00 apx. A total figure for each event would be around $500.00 or $1000.00 for two events, March & November.

Man calling something evil does not make it evil. 1 Samuel 15:23 (KJV) "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft." Witchcraft and sorcery, shows itself to be about rebellion against God, practicing sacrifices, divination, and consulting with mediums and psychics. Halloween though many Christians today find it harmful. It can only be that way if the above mentioned definitions are practiced. When we accept and receive Jesus the Christ as our Lord and Savior, we become a new creation and the things we do should bring Jesus and His good into our lives. We celebrate December 25 as Christ Birthday knowing full well  that most ancient and advanced nations, such as Babylon, Egypt, Persia, Greece, Roman and England, to name a few, believe December 25^th was a solemn day and celebrated it. This celebration on December 25 was associated with the worship of the sun and the winter solstice. This dates back to many pagan gods and worship of the stars, but we as Christians have decided to make it something good, just as many do today with Halloween, to include yours truly.

What is ministry and who can do it? Let us start with the word Ambassador, the scripture gives us this; 2 Corinthians 5:20, “We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.” The dictionary gives us this for ambassador; an authorized messenger or representative. Wow, that sounds like you.

I believe that ministry comes from the heart of believers. Not just a few, but should be every believer. The same God which has ordained me as His Ambassador also has ordained you. The word ordained means; to select for or appoint to an office, to order or command. Matthew 22:14, "For many are invited, but few are chosen." When you receive Jesus the Christ as your Lord and Savior, you have been chosen to receive His Holy Spirit, or Matthew 28:19, “therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”, Jesus is talking to you and I, Christians.

You do not need some high and mighty ministry with a fancy name; there are already plenty of then. Lost Souls Ministry and all of the others are always in need of; Matthew 9:37, “Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.”  The definition for ministry basically is service. There are all kinds of service needed and the last ones are Tithes, Donations and Gifts, the best one is your Time.

Lost Souls Ministry has many good men & women which donate their time and resources to our children for their fun day activities, outside of their Apartment Complex. There several churches, business and individuals that through tithes and donations that help to keep this ministry moving. But as of right now no one wants to come into these apartments and help this ministry of Lost Souls.

Let me share something with you. There are plenty of churches that come in and pick up adults and children and take them out to their church, then deposit them right back into their neighborhood until next week.  The actual problem is in the neighborhood and that is where ministry should happen. When you go to the car wash you also clean the inside of your car, not just the outside, when you wash dishes you clean the entire dish not just the part used. The outside is what some churches are cleaning, then placing them right back into the (mud) of their neighborhood for six more days.

So what is all of this actually about?  Lost Souls Ministry is seeking people that wish to do ministry outside of their normal giving. People with ideas, people that want to help children or adults, people with time, people to do cleaning, people to do teaching, men and women of God this is a call for you. So won’t you look into your heart and ask God how you can serve Him through Lost Souls Ministry and its ministries.

Let us remember that when God shares things with us and this includes His word sometimes we each understand it differently. I look at the Gospels and how each differs even though they are similar in meanings. Each Disciple sees and understands God’s direction for themself. Let us remember that we each minister to different people and all people are different. When a person is actually in love with Jesus, this is something that will be seen through their daily actions. All too often we judge people through their statements and not their lives. Statements are merely small windows which only a part of that person can be seen.

So I guess what I am saying is please do not judge me or anyone on what you see through their window. Get to know someone, before the pot calls the kettle black…Bones in CHRIST…!!!   

Ministry is going where faith is not. Today I believe our churches are losing sight of what real ministry really is. We build our churches and sit around and wait for God to fill them, but that is not what His word says to do. Luke 14:23, “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”

Christ’ vision for the church is no different today than when He started it. The only reason it has changed is due to humanity and Satan. Because we disagree with someone, today that means we can no longer be a part of their vision. Wait just one minute, if Jesus / God’s Holy Spirit is living in your heart, then the vision is not yours, it is His. Denominations have separated us in our faith that was meant to bring us together. John 17:21,  “I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one--as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me”. Is this scripture not saying that the Spirit of Christ, illuminating, transforming, and reigning in the hearts of the genuine disciples of Christ, drawing them to each other as members of one family, and prompting them to loving co-operation for the good of the world--this is what, when sufficiently glowing and extended, shall force conviction upon the world that Christianity is divine. So what has happened?

Lost Souls Ministry has been journeying in the streets of Burlington, North Carolina for seven years this year. We have been begging churches to come out into the streets with us, so they may take those that submit to Jesus the Christ, back into their churches and disciple them. Just this year one church was actually so bold to let me know they do not work out side of their denomination. Ephesians 4:5, “[There is] one Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of [us] all, Who is above all [Sovereign over all], pervading all and [living] in [us] all. Lost Souls Ministry is not able to disciple these people or do follow up. We do not have the people or the resources.

I have found at least one hundred and nineteen scriptures, all giving reference to the Kingdom of heaven. Nowhere in any of those scripture, regardless of translation, have I found any reference to any denomination. Nowhere in God’s Holy Word have I found reference that we should as Christians separate and point our fingers at the others. II Corinthians 6:14, “Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?”  So in our separation, is this what we are using to keep us separated, this is speaking about unbelievers!

At the end of the day, if we all believe that Jesus the Christ was born of a virgin, was crucified died and was buried in the earth, that after three days arose and was seen by over five hundred people, that He ascended to heaven and now sits at the right hand of God the Father. Why are we divided, can anyone tell me? Why are we unwilling to journey in the streets together? Why are we unwilling to go out into the Highways and Hedges, so that God’s House may be filled, why?

I am a Body that has a spirit and a soul. It takes all of that to make up the person which is writing this. In 1954 when I was born I also start dyeing, each of us do. Our bodies were not created to last an eternity. I just love the saying “that if I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.” Anyhow this old body will one day actually get tired of maintaining life and will not keep me grounded here any longer. Now that will be a day of celebration, well for me anyhow. Now do I fear the unknown, yes. But you see in my life Jesus the Christ is not unknown and in John 14:2-3niv “My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? ³ And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” Now you see, This I believe, so it is not the unknown to me. This body is just a taxi, which carries the real me around. My spirit is the life force that God placed in Adam when he was created. Yes I do believe that we all originated from just two beings, Adam and Eve. My spirit or life force is the actual energy which propels this body to and fro. I also have a soul and my soul is what makes up my mind/thoughts and emotions. Your eyes see my physical body, but my soul is what allows my body to move and do the things I do.

You have a free will to choose what, where and when, when you do that, which you do. For 34 years I filled mine with evil, but No More. Today my life has purpose, it has direction and I will live in eternity, praising and worshiping my Lord Jesus the Christ. You see when my heart and mind became one with the nature of God, then, that moment all of my past life was forgotten, I started over. Today I worship Jesus and I am going to worship Him forever, I going to worship Him forever, I going to worship Him forever. Today I have a love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control that can only be filled and renewed by Jesus the Christ. The way I see  the things of life, have Jesus written all over them for Colossians 1: 16 nlt, “for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see--such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.” The Him in that verse is Jesus and the reason I know this is John 1:1 nkj, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

I would not change any part of my last seven years seven months, because Jesus is in everything I do, I have done and I will do. I serve Jesus in two ways, first through praise and worship, second through you. He does not need me, He has never needed me Jesus only desires the same thing God desires. That is to once again to walk in the cool of the day with me as He did with Adam and Eve before they allowed, sin to run free in this world. Lord hear my prayer today, I desire to walk in the cool of the day with you, to bow down before you and praise you, to worship you, to love you as you deserve to be. Thank You for believing in me, I love you so much…Bones in CHRIST…!!!
